‘Naked therapist’ helps to treat men with porn addiction

September 16, 2014  23:32

A woman is offering therapy to men with embarrassing personal issues such as porn addiction by stripping for them online, Metro.co.uk reports.

Sarah White, 28, claims to have helped hundreds of men around the world including celebrities to discuss and resolve their relationship and life problems.

Although she is not a registered psychotherapist, she claims that by allowing her clients to masturbate in front of her she can get them to confront their issues.

Ms White, from New York, explained her novel approach to therapy: ‘Because nakedness is allowed, there is an immediate sense of intimacy, openness, and trust between the therapist and client.

‘They feel comfortable talking to me about them because they find my willingness to undress for them a sign that I trust them and that I won’t judge them – which is true.’

Ms White claims that sexual arousal rather than a distraction can help her clients feel more comfortable confronting personal problems.

She is not allowed to practice as a psychotherapist in the U.S., however, because her arousal methods are regarded as unethical.

Critics have commented that in addition to a lack of professional credentials, she studied dance and biology at university rather than psychology.

Ms White has rebuffed her detractors firmly stating her work as the ‘naked therapist’ is truly ground breaking in the field of psychology.
