Armenian pharmaceutical companies to visit the IPHEX 2015 exhibition in India
Within the framework of cooperation of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) with the Indian side, Armenian pharmaceutical companies are invited to participate as visitors in the IPHEX 2015 (Indian Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Expo) exhibition that will take place on May 13-15 in Mumbai, India. The exhibition will be a great opportunity to expand business development and economic cooperation between Armenia and India, and to promote pharmaceutical sector in both countries.
Union of Medicine producers & importers of Armenia president Samvel Zakaryan told NEWS.am Medicine that both drug manufacturers and importers working in Armenia are interested in the event, since they will get the opportunity to establish connections with Indian companies that produce drugs that are not inferior to Europeans yet are twice cheaper. Armenian importers are also interested in the generics manufactured by Indian companies. But of course, according to Mr. Zakaryan, it will be very important to choose future partners carefully, since there are both very good and rather bad producers in India.
Mr. Zakaryan also stressed the role of the Indian government in the promotion of the pharmaceutical sphere in the country, which gave India the opportunity to become one of biggest suppliers of drugs and related products in the world.
Here is the list of the Armenian companies that are going to participate in the exhibition: Arpimed LLC, Yerevan Chemical Pharmaceutical Firm OJSC, Alfa-Pharm CJSC, Bio-Chem LTD, Medical Horizon LTD, Vaga-Pharm LTD, Natali Farm LLC, Amikus LTD, Armenfarm and the Union of Medicine producers & importers of Armenia.
As the representatives of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA) told NEWS.am Medicine, the Ministry of Health of Armenia will also participate in IPHEX 2015 and make a presentation about Medicine Regulations in Armenia. Within the framework of promotion of export-oriented production of drugs and medicines, Development Foundation of Armenia has worked with Pharmexcil and with the Union of Medicine producers & importers of Armenia to coordinate the Armenian Side participation.
IPHEX 2015 is an exhibition that brings together the drugs, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry under one roof and offers the largest showcase of Indian pharmaceutical products and technologies to the global audience.
