Prime Healthcare Management, Inc., has teamed up with the United Armenian Fund (UAF) to deliver $1.8 million of medical equipment to hospitals throughout Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The donation includes hundreds of items, such as ICU beds, anesthesia machines, surgical tables, surgical microscopes, and a large variety of life-saving and medically necessary equipment.

“This is our second major donation of medical equipment to Armenia and Artsakh,” said Michael Sarian, president of Hospital Operations at Prime Healthcare Management, Inc., an award-winning hospital management company that operates 34 hospitals across the United States. “Last year, we provided $2 million of medical equipment to the Armenian Health Ministry, bringing our total donation so far to almost $4 million. We are pleased to continue our support by providing much-needed medical equipment to the people of Armenia and Artsakh,” Sarian added.

Armenian Minister of Health Dr. Armen Muradyan, during his recent visit to Los Angeles, met with Sarian and Harut Sassounian, president of UAF, and personally selected from the Prime Healthcare warehouse 3 40-ft. container-loads of medical equipment for hospitals in Armenia and Artsakh. Muradyan has formed a special committee to distribute the medical equipment to the appropriate hospitals.

Prime Healthcare Management, Inc., is a division of Prime Healthcare Services, one of the largest hospital management companies in the United States.

The UAF is the collective effort of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Missionary Association of America, Armenian Relief Society, Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, and Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America. Since its inception in 1989, UAF has sent $713 million of humanitarian assistance to Armenia.
