The unhealthy fast food can be replaced with healthier, homemade sandwiches, according to nutritionist Mihail Ginzburg.
A healthier snack might include homemade sandwiches, salads and vegetable slices, NEWS.ru says. Also suitable for snacking, he says, are fermented dairy drinks, granola, nuts and lean chicken.
"For example, a sandwich. Take a slice of grain bread, put a leaf of lettuce on it, spinach you can put, lay a slice of chicken breast, a little salt, you can put tomatoes, here's your snack. You can wrap a lot of things in pita bread. For example, you can put cottage cheese, some cereals, a couple of tomato wheels and you can grate some cheese, to make it salty. And you wrap it all up in pita bread. It's the perfect snack," Ginzburg said.
