Disabled Chinese woman has written a novel with her left foot

A Chinese woman, Hu Huiyuan, disabled with cerebral palsy, has written a book.

The 21-year-old girl, who is almost completely stationary, wrote her book on a notebook with her left foot. The book has nearly 60,000 words. The writer can manage 20 to 30 words a minute, The Daily Mail reports.

Her parents, living in Anhui province, told, that as a child she had no opportunity to attend school. She taught herself to read and write using television subtitles.

When she was born the doctors said she wouldn't survive more than a few days.

Interviewed by local TV, Hu Huiyuan told she tries to focus more, and her disability has taught her patience.

"I'm glad to have a chance to write and communicate with people with different interests," she said.
