The President of Armenia attended the opening of the Russian factory of medical instruments "Mega Med’’

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today, on March 14, attended the opening ceremony of medical disposables "Mega Med’’. The plant belongs to Russian group of companies "Pallas Athena".

The President got acquainted with the production, investments, and development programs of the company.

Investments within the production program have already exceeded $ 42 million. And by the time of plant’s work at full capacity, the investments will make about $47 mln.

112 people are already employed with an average salary of 150 thousand դrams. Till the end of May the number of employees is planned to increase till 400. By that time several types of needles, syringes, insulin needles, vacuum and drip blood collection systems will be produced.

Annually the company plans to manufacture products for about 1.2 billion drams (about $ 2.9 million - Ed), most of them will be exported. First memoranda on exports have been signed with a number of foreign companies directly at the opening of the plant.
