Ninety people have been hospitalized with food poisoning in Armenia’s Armavir province on Thursday.

All those hospitalized were working in a wine growing company located not far from Arevshat village.

Twenty-eight patients remain at the hospitals of Armavir and Metsamor. Their condition is described as satisfactory. However, more patients appealed to doctors on Friday morning, director of Armavir medical center Sargis Khachatryan told NEWS.am Medicine.

Some of the patients may be discharged during the day.

The patients said they did not work with any toxic substances, but recalled that they had chicken and potato sandwiches for lunch. The experts believe the sandwiches caused a food poisoning. According to some reports, 200 employees of the company had sandwiches for lunch.
