Health warnings released for 'Incredibles 2'
The "Incredibles 2" - the newest blockbuster film that dominated the box office over the weekend - now comes with a health warning.
The National Epilepsy Foundation sent an open letter to Pixar, and its parent company, Disney, asking them to warn viewers of several flashing light and strobe scenes within the movie.
The Epilepsy Foundation says photosensitive epilepsy affects about 3 percent of people with epilepsy, and that these scenes could trigger seizures in some viewers who suffer from epilepsy.
Since the complaints arose this weekend on Twitter, Disney has sent out a letter to local theaters asking them to post them and warn viewers about the scenes.
A letter has been posted at a theater in Arroyo Grande.
The letter reads, "The 'Incredibles 2' contains a sequence of flashing lights which may affect customers who are susceptible to photo-sensitive epilepsy."
The Epilepsy Foundation has also asked that Disney Pixar post warnings on their digital platforms.
There have been no confirmed cases of someone suffering a seizure while watching the movie, but the foundation says they have been notified of some people having problems.
