Millennials would rather give up sex, alcohol than lose Amazon: survey

December 8, 2018  18:33

It turns out millennials love Amazon so much, they’d give up sex or alcohol to keep shopping there.

A new survey revealed 77 percent of millennials would go without booze for a year rather than quit Amazon, and 44 percent would forego sex.

The survey, conducted by Max Borges Agency, also uncovered the bizarre places where millennials used the online retailer. Forty-seven percent shopped while using the bathroom, 24 percent while grocery shopping, 23 percent while sitting in traffic and 19 percent shopped while intoxicated.

Sixty-one percent of millennials surveyed said they shopped in the middle of the night. Fewer than 1 in 4 millennials would buy a consumer tech product if the item wasn’t available on the tech giant’s site.

The communications firm surveyed 1,108 18- to 34-year-olds in the US who purchased consumer tech products on Amazon in the past year. A spokesperson from Max Borges Agency said the survey wasn’t paid for by Amazon.
