Stress may be synchronized in dogs and their owners

Owner’s stress can be transmitted to his dog, Scientific Reports has published a study of Swedish scientists

Lina Roth from Linköping University notes: cortisol concentrations in dogs and their owners are synchronized.

As part of the study, scientists found that the concentration of the stress hormone in dogs was directly dependent on the emotional state of their owners.

According to scientists, the reason for this may lie in the fact that the mechanism of the relationship between the owners and their pets is similar to the impact of each other on the mother and her young children.

The synchronization of cortisol levels also takes place, which helps women better understand the problems of their offspring.
