Study confirms: Computer games are good for mental health

August 12, 2019  09:42

Scientists from UK have found that computer or phone games are good for mental health because they help to relax and get rid of stress, JMIR Mental Health reported.

People were divided into two groups doing the study. Members of the first group were supposed to play the game Block! Hexa Puzzle within 10 minutes after work or after solving math tests. Volunteers from the second group were invited to be engaged in meditation for a similar time using the appropriate application on a smartphone.

According to the results of the experiment, people from the first group more often reported a decrease in feelings of fatigue and an improvement in mood.

The authors of the study note that video games can really help in the fight against professional burnout, helping to relax after a busy day.
