Scientists name products that prolong life

There is a certain pattern between the diet and the longevity of people: some foods are believed to increase longevity.

Nutritionist Mariyat Mukhina told Russian newspaper that they are talking about products that contain antioxidants - substances that resist free radicals that destroy DNA and contribute to cell death.

Many antioxidants contain green tea, which is also a diuretic and a catalyst for metabolic processes.

Next are dates and sea buckthorn: dates contain 23 amino acids, including tryptophan, which stabilizes the psyche and improves mood, and sea buckthorn - a large amount of vitamin A, which slows down aging and is involved in the body's immune processes.

Next come blueberries, which contain anti-tumor substances, anthocyanins, and tomatoes, which, thanks to the antioxidant lycopene, help to cope with overeating and protect against weight gain.

The nutritionist also classified fermented milk products as useful, which include beneficial amino acids, vitamins and calcium.

An excess of antioxidants in the diet is also not particularly useful: a case has recently been described when a large amount of antioxidants in the diet damaged a man’s kidneys.
