Blockchain technology can facilitate doctors licensing process, specialist said
Blockchain technology can have many uses in healthcare, Dr. Ramadan Alblooshi, CEO for regulator sector at Dubai Healthcare City told NEWS.am Medicine.
According to him, this technology can significantly facilitate the licensing process for doctors.
Information about a doctor who has received a license to work in the country (in this case, in the UAE) will be available throughout the country, regardless of the city in which the doctor is located, he said adding that this technology can facilitate licensing for foreign doctors - they will not need to come and file an application, send documents - all this can be done through the network, saving a lot of time.
Blockchain technology, according to the expert, can also be used to work with a digital database of patients, saving a lot of time and effort for both patients and medical staff.
Dr. Ramadan Alblooshi came to Armenia to participate in the BlockPoint 19 Congress, dedicated to blockchain technology. According to him, he is not yet familiar with the healthcare system in Armenia, since this is his first visit, but he and his country are ready for cooperation.
