China to build new factory for medical musks production
It is planned to build a new factory for the production of medical masks in Beijing to solve the problem of their shortage, Xinhua News Agency reported.
A local company, China Construction First Group, announced its intention to set up production in six days. The plant plans to produce about 250,000 masks per day.
The deficit of medical masks was predicted at the end of January, and not only in China, but globally. This deficit is already noticeable in many countries: masks have long expired even in Armenia and there are no stocks in warehouses. Shops selling masks on Amazon and Alibaba Internet platforms also noted that they were running out of goods.
The construction of a new factory began Monday, and it should be completed on Saturday. The construction company every day measures the temperature of all employees to prevent the spread of infection and allocated separate rooms for those who suddenly have symptoms of the disease among workers.
