Women in Canadian province of Quebec hit harder by COVID-19 than men

Women in the Canadian province of Quebec hit harder by COVID-19 than men, according to the Quebec's public health institute.

In Quebec, nearly 60% of those infected are women, while women accounted for 54% in the death toll.

Currently, there are almost 37,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Quebec, and the number of deaths has exceeded 2,700.

The majority of those infected - 28% - are people aged 30 to 49 years.
