Herd immunity could develop from just 43% of people catching COVID-19, Dialy Mail reported referring to scientists from Nottingham and Stockholm.

According to previous estimates, nearly two thirds (60%) of a population would have to test positive for COVID-19 for herd immunity to develop.

"But this exposure level could be slashed to just 43 per cent, according to scientists from Nottingham and Stockholm," Daily Mail noted referring to a study.

According to scientists, to understand herd immunity with the COVID-19 one needs to look at social activity.
