Paracetamol overdose: What issues may arise?

April 19, 2021  15:10

Paracetamol, a popular pain reliever around the world, can be dangerous if misused.

According to Express, the UK experts warn that a small overdose of the drug can cause unpleasant side effects. The most common symptoms of an overdose are nausea and vomiting.

These symptoms occur within a few hours after taking a hepatotoxic dose of the drug, which, in turn, can provoke liver damage.

Also, an overdose of paracetamol can lead to drowsiness, jaundice, and pain in the right upper abdomen.
