What products increase your risk of colon cancer?

Colon cancer is an extremely dangerous and very common disease.

Most often, the risk of its development is associated with the person's lifestyle.

Certain medications and foods lower the risk of developing this cancer, according to a meta-analysis published in the journal Gut.

But there are also factors that increase this risk.

Thus, numerous studies have shown that the risk of colon cancer increased by 12-21% with regular consumption of red and processed meat. Moreover, this risk increases with the amount of meat consumed. This includes products such as sausage, sausages, bacon and others.

Another risk factor is alcoholic beverages. Alcohol was associated with cancer risk even at the lowest doses studied, which are considered relatively safe (1-2 servings per day).

Lack of fiber in the diet can have an extremely negative effect on intestinal health, as many experts say.
