There is currently no need to vaccinate pets against coronavirus, Russian specialist noted.

According to him, there are no international recommendations for vaccinating animals against coronavirus.

Noted that not so long ago in Europe, minks were massively infected with coronavirus. Experts analyzed the risk of human infection from a pet and decided that vaccination of animals is now impractical.

Veterinarian of the highest qualification category also believes that vaccination of pets is a rather useless event, since there is no reliable information about the transmission of coronavirus from animals to humans. He stressed that 80 to 100 percent of cats are carriers of the disease, but this does not lead to the extinction of the species.
