Armenia acting health minister: Coronavirus vaccinations on the rise in Armenia since snap election

YEREVAN. – After the snap elections to the National Assembly, there has been a considerable increase in the rate of coronavirus vaccinations in Armenia, Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told reporters on Thursday.

According to her, the rate of these inoculations had dropped during the pre-election period, as people had other priorities, but these vaccinations are expected to increase in the near future, and this will enable to reach the respective indicators of other countries in the region.

Avanesyan added that the number of these vaccinated people in Armenia shall exceed 70,000 today.

No concerning side effects have been reported among any of those who have been vaccinated so far, and this inoculation process, according to the acting minister, is underway "as normal, in a calm, organized fashion."

Also, the acting minister of health urged the residents of Armenia to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before the beginning of the new academic year.
