Mandarin has many beneficial properties for health, but it can be dangerous for some people.

Nutritionist and fitness trainer Natalya Kushnir (Russia) says that people with diseases of the digestive system and children under 2 years should not eat mandarin, RIA Novosti reported.

The expert advises people suffering from gastritis, colitis, and ulcers not to eat too much mandarin, which can be harmful also in case of problems with the pancreas and gallbladder.

"Mandarin is rich in vitamins B, P, K, D, and minerals, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. It is also an excellent antidepressant. Associations with the holiday evoke not only the taste, but also the color, the aroma," the specialist added.

According to her, we should not forget that citrus fruits quite often cause an allergic reaction, so it is not recommended to eat them too much on the holidays.
