Some fairly simple daily habits can reduce the risk of age-related diseases and prolong life. The Daily Express edition reported.

Do not overuse sugar

First of all, scientists recommend not to abuse sugar. A large amount of sugar in the diet can cause age-related cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Reducing the sugar in the diet will help slow aging, prevent metabolic disorders and improve overall health.

Take resveratrol

Doctors recommend taking 1,000 milligrams of the antioxidant resveratrol daily. It is found particularly in red wine and several other foods and is considered a natural aid in slowing down the aging process. In addition, this substance, according to the specialist, helps in the fight against cancer, diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

Take vitamin D

Experts also recommend taking vitamin D regularly because levels in the body are inversely related to the risk of death. This vitamin prolongs life and reduces the risk of age-related diseases. The body produces it when direct sunlight hits the skin. However, between October and March, people don't get enough of it, so it needs to be taken in pill form.
