What foods can help keep your skin healthy?

Some foods contribute to skin rashes; others, on the other hand, help keep skin healthy.

According to Eat This, Not That!, foods that cause inflammation in the stomach can ruin the appearance of healthy skin and cause rashes. According to nutritionist Pauline Lee, you should not eat French fries, fried chicken, baked goods and white bread for beautiful skin.

What's more, according to the expert, a lack of probiotics and an excess of foods high in refined carbohydrates also have an extremely negative impact on the appearance.

"Research studies have observed imbalances of the gut and skin microbiomes, known as dysbiosis, in a number of common skin conditions, including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. And of course, most of us are familiar with how our wacky hormones can lead to crazy skin breakouts or acne," said the specialist.

Nutritionists recommend eating apples, asparagus, salmon, berries and oatmeal regularly to improve skin conditions.

Dietitian Rachel Fine said that the lack of a food schedule, periods of hunger and overeating also have a negative impact on the skin. In her opinion, this approach to food also increases stress levels.
