Dentist Anton Khmarenko commented on the most common myths about implants and answered the question of whether they really violate diction, MedikForum reported.

Implants can solve many problems with teeth and bite correction, but some do not dare to this procedure because of the existing myths about it and overwhelming fears.

For example, they say that before installing implants you can not smoke for a whole month. The dentist emphasized that it is enough to give up smoking only on the day of the procedure.

"Popular myth: Implants should not be used for periodontitis. No, if you have periodontitis, then you need to treat periodontitis. And put implants. The main thing is the condition of the bone," he said.

People with diabetes are afraid to put implants. In their opinion, allegedly the implant will not take root. According to the specialist, compensated diabetes is not an obstacle to implant placement.

Many are worried that the installation of implants will disrupt diction, artificial teeth will interfere. In this case, the doctor says that implants have nothing to do with removable dentures, which can actually cause these problems immediately after they are installed.
