According to dermatologist, too hot water in combination with soap can lead to skin dryness and dehydration. Regular use of shower gel, which contains components containing sodium, can destroy the skin's lipid barrier and promote the penetration of pathogenic bacteria and viruses.
It is perfectly acceptable to shower with detergents no more than twice a day. Every day with a gel or soap should be washed only those places where there are a large number of sweat glands, this is the groin area, armpits and legs, said the specialist.
At the same time, hot water is more harmful to the body than cold water, in the winter months, a hot shower will lead to peeling of the skin.
