Doctors called the main features of beautiful breasts

A new study by NYU plastic surgeons shows that the fullness, volume, and roundness of the upper breasts play an important role in a woman’s perception of the attractiveness of her breasts. Study published magazine Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open.

Breast augmentation in women is one of the most popular plastic surgeries today. However, research on the perception of the attractiveness of the bust from the point of view of ordinary people was not taken into account – previous studies focused on the preferences of professionals in this field.

To fill this gap, the researchers selected a sample of 1,000 participants (52% female, 48% male) and 25 breast implant patients. The authors aimed for maximum diversity in terms of breast size and shape, skin tone, and nipples. Participants in the sample were asked to rate the breast photos of 25 women.

Analysis of the responses showed that rounder and fuller breast contours were associated with higher perceived attractiveness.

“The study also identified a subgroup of five patients with the highest average attractiveness scores. This subgroup had a distinct breast contour, slight drooping, close breasts, and a shorter distance from nipple to lower breast,” the authors said.
