Specialists recommend manage your anger by all means, since it’s harmful for your heart, and here are some tips to defuse this harmful emotion:

1. Recognize rage

The first step in defusing anger is to recognize it for what it is. Psychiatrist Shrand says  “Recognition is a thinking function, where anger is a feeling. As soon as you begin to recognize you’re angry you are more in control of it. And when you recognize it you realize I want to see something different.”

2. Determine why you're angry

Understanding the reason for your anger will help you to defuse it, too. Doctor says when we get envious if we think somebody has something more than us; we get suspicious if we think they’re trying to take something from us.

3. See anger as a result of a threat

Knowing this will also help to defuse anger, because you understand its origins.

4. Project peace.

Stay calm when you feel rage building, and don’t allow yourself to be pulled into arguments or shouting matches.

5. Engage empathy

If another person’s words or actions have provoked your anger, try to understand his  perspective, even if you don’t agree with it. Specialist says human beings want to feel valued by other human beings and empathy is [about] sending a message — I’m interested in you.

6. Acknowledge differences

Accepting the differences of human perspectives is another step to manage anger. Also show that you understand other's anger.

7. Trade thanks

Imagine what will happen if we often hear 'thank you', 'you are welcome' and so on. This will mean you don't see others as a threat, you are not envious, you are not suspicious. If you trade words of appreciation, you also engage empathy, you communicate, you calm down.
