Mango could be useful for cancer prevention

Scientists from the University of Texas conducted a study, which found that eating mangoes may help prevent breast cancer.

Experts conducted experiments on mice to find out how polyphenols in the fruit affect cancer cells breast cancer and normal cells.

The authors were interested in the fact the capability to prevail over the tumor. The results of the experiment showed that the growth of breast cancer cells is reduced by approximately 90% at 5 µg/ml GAE.

In addition, the concentration of mango polyphenols decreased the proliferation of cells, uninfected cancer by about a fifth.

Scientists have reported that polyphenols of mango, have a destroying effect, which is unusual for cells infected with cancer.
