Sex blogger says a semen facial cleared her spots

What’s semen good for, other than creating life? According to some people, quite a lot, actually. One mum, Tracy Kiss starts every day with a semen smoothie and gives herself frequent semen facials. She also turned her labia into jewellery, mind you, so she’s a little more out-there than the average person with genitals, Metro reported.

Now, one sex blogger claims that a dab of semen is the fix for any spots. Angela Nwosu is a sex blogger from Nigeria, who often shares, um, interesting thoughts on sex and relationship with her 50,000 followers (some recent examples include stories about using a cucumber to cool the vagina and a post stating she’s addicted to semen). Her latest experiment involved using semen as a treatment for a pimple. She says it worked.

‘Your man can indeed help you to have golden glowing face,’ wrote Angela on Facebook. ‘It may sound weird but trust me when I say it works and it’s the best. ‘Sperm is good for skincare. Proteins and other nutrients rich in sperm can help for a flawless facial treatment.

‘Next time you make love, try save up some sperm and apply on your face, make sure to thank me later.’ Interesting.

Facialist Andy Millward says there could actually be some skin-related benefits in semen. ‘Male semen is predominantly water, with only 1% being sperm,’ Andy tells Metro.co.uk. ‘The remaining fluid contains a cocktail (no-pun intended) of amino acids (building blocks of protein), minerals including calcium, potassium, magneisum and zinc, and other compounds like citrate, fuctose and urea. Even traces of Vitamin C. ‘The fluid is also rich in proteolytic enzymes, which used topically have an exfoliation benefit.’ (Picture: Metro.co.uk) Those proteolytic enzymes could help to exfoliate away dead skin and blemishes, while urea hydrates, zinc heals, and amino acids regulate and repair the skin. All of these are ingredients commonly used in skincare, but it is true that they’re present in semen. But before you go asking men to offer up their spunk, there is a catch that means semen isn’t the perfect skincare freebie.
