Second imported measles case recorded in Armenia

YEREVAN. – The second imported measles case has been recorded in Armenia. A person with measles arrives in Armenia on February 20 from Brussels via Georgia.
According to Armenia's Health Ministry, the laboratory test confirmed measles.
The first case was recorded in February when a citizen of Ukraine with measles (confirmed by a laboratory test) has arrived in Armenia after traveling from Kiev via flight PS 611.

Armenian doctors urged all passengers of the given flight and those in the waiting hall of the airport at the moment of arrival to receive a measles vaccination, if they haven’t been vaccinated or lack 2 doses.
Measles is a sharp viral and strictly contagious disease characterized by marked intoxication, as well as catarrhal and rashes. It is an airborne virus and stands out from other controllable viruses with its high level of contagiousness.

Measles becomes more and more complex along with the main symptoms of the disease (intoxication, catarrhal, rashes).
