Italian allergists are warning about the harmful impact of junk food. During the ESPGHAN conference experts noted that frequent use of junk food is leading to food allergies.

Researchers from the University of Naples 'Federico II' observed three groups of children aged between 6-12 years old (61 children in total): those with food allergies, those with respiratory allergies, and healthy controls, Eurokalert website reported.

Italian experts note that the harmful impact of junk food on our body can explain the high rate of food allergies worldwide. Interestingly food allergy is more spread in the countries where junk food is very popular (U.S., Canada, European countries).
