Armenia Health Minister says changes made to Radiation Therapy Service for oncological diseases

Changes have been made to the radiation therapy service of Oncological Diseases since July 4, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan wrote on his Facebook.

Earlier, a co-payment basis was implemented for those patients diagnosed with malignant oncological and hemorrhagic disorders, except for beneficiaries of social groups, while now, for the entire population regardless of the social status of the patient, treatment with TERAGAM radiation and ELEKTA electronic accelerator is completely free of charge.

And the range of beneficiaries receiving medical aid with a medical linear accelerator of 15 and more MeV (including VARIAN), included in the list of newest and most up-to-date medical care and maintenance services, has expanded from 7 to 18 years.
