Why should tea be brewed only with boiling water?

When brewing tea, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions of the manufacturers, who recommend pouring tea leaves or herbal picking with boiling water.

This mark must be sought on the packaging of tea, said experts from the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment.

According to Rossiiskaya Gazeta, even the most expensive tea can contain dangerous pathogens, including bacteria and fungi, while some brands of tea contain traces of salmonella. 

That is why when brewing it is recommended to use exactly boiling water, leaving the tea to infuse for five minutes. This heat treatment will destroy most of the dangerous pathogens.
