A well-known nutritionist, Russian doctor of medical sciences claims that no serious medical studies have been conducted on honey from a medical point of view.

As the doctor said in an interview with AiF, honey can relieve cough as it has slight antipyretic effect.

The expert noted that honey contains a lot of glucose and fructose and thus causes a sharp jump in blood sugar levels, which negatively affects the whole body.

Contrary to popular belief, honey has few vitamins and minerals. For example, the daily requirement for calcium is provided by 200 teaspoons of honey, 267 teaspoons in phosphorus, and 3 kg of honey in vitamins. Proteins and amino acids are also present in honey in extremely small quantities, the doctor said.
