Armenia Minister: 2132 surgeries conducted within Stent for Life in 2019, 5726 surgeries for socially unsecured

Within Stent for Life state program 2132 coronary surgeries were conducted in 2019, Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan wrote on his Facebook.

According to him, it’s 45.7% more than in 2018 (1463).

A total of 5726 heart operations were performed for people from socially disadvantaged groups. This is 128% more than in 2018 (2504).

The Stent for Life program has been held in Armenia since 2015.
