Coronavirus death toll reaches 1491

Coronavirus death toll has reached 1,491, and 124 deaths have been recorded over the past day, worldmeters reported.

One of the patients died in Japan - this is the first death from a coronavirus in this country. According to media reports, this was a woman about 80 years old.

A total of 116 new deaths from coronavirus were recorded only in the Chinese province of Hubei, which is considered the epicenter of the outbreak.

The number of confirmed cases of infection reached 65,247. 7,099 recovered and were discharged from hospitals (83% of cases with a known outcome). Meanwhile, 56 657 patients are still ill, of which 10 608 (19%) are in serious or critical condition.
