Chinese scientists name medicine to treat coronavirus

Chinese health ministry said Abidol may be considered an effective medicine to treat coronavirus.

Abidol and Ribavarin are included in the sixth version of a preliminary treatment program for coronavirus infected pneumonia.

Earlier Abidol in combination with other dugs was included in the treatment program. Chinese doctors also reported its high efficiency. By the way, media dismantled false reports that it was about Russia-made Arbidol.

The death toll in the new coronavirus has risen to 2,128. There have been 116 deaths in just the past day—114 in China, and two more on board the Diamond Princess cruise ship which is under quarantine in Japan.
