Experimental coronavirus vaccine to be tested in April

An experimental coronavirus vaccine will be tested on humans in April 2020, Axios reported quoting The Wall Street Journal.

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and drugmaker Moderna have developed mRNA-1273 vaccince. Moreover, the producers claim that the vaccine is ready for tests.

The vaccine will be tested on 20–25 healthy volunteers in April, and results of tests will be available in July or August, NIAID director Anthony Fauci told the newspaper.

However, it's uncertain whether the drug will work, the newspaper notes.
