South Korea facing COVID-19 2nd wave

South Korea is facing COVID-19 second way as the country recorded 17 COVID-19 new cases in a day, TBS reported referring to Jung Eun-kyeong, head of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to her, the first wave started in February and March and lasted through the end of April.

The COVID-19 outbreak could get worse in the fall and winter, she noted urging to come up with long-term measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

South Korea recorded the first cases on January 20. A total of 12,000 cases have been confirmed there, while the death toll is 280.
