UK authorizes Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine

The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) authorized the COVID-19 vaccine, developed by American Pfizer and German BioNTech companies.

The vaccine will be available throughout the UK next week, Reuters reports.

The approximate cost of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech will be 15.5 euros per dose, based on preliminary information.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announces a deal for up to 300 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which will cost €4.6 billion.
