Herring is good for cardiovascular system and thyroid gland, specialist claims

Regular consumption of herring has a positive effect on the health of the cardiovascular system and thyroid gland, nutritionist Svetlana Fus noted.

According to her, herring contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats that are important for the body.

One herring contains one and a half to two daily norms of omega-3 fatty acids. According to many studies, people who regularly consume omega-3s are less likely to experience depression and skin problems.

Besides, fatty acids reduce the risk of premature wrinkle formation. They are also very important for the brain and the retina of the eyes.

Herring is also known for its high iodine, selenium and vitamin E content.
