Noubar Afeyan's COVID-19 vaccine recognized as the best in the world

The experts of the World Vaccine Congress-2021 recognized the drug from the American company Moderna, founded by Noubar Afeyan, as the best vaccine against coronavirus. This drug bypassed Sputnik V, as well as the developments of Pfizer / BioNTech and AstraZeneca. On what basis the selection took place is not specified.

According to RBC, the shortlist of the Best COVID Vaccine award also includes the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, American Janssen and Novavax, Canadian Medicago, a drug from the British-Swedish AstraZeneca, a vaccine from Pfizer / BioNTech, a development of the Indian pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech and a drug for animals Zoetis.

The product from Pfizer and BioNTech received a very high rating.

The experts also selected Moderna in the best new technology/vaccine platform category.
