Is coronavirus of natural origin or is it outflow from a laboratory?

Most experts and scientists believe the coronavirus was of natural origin. However, PhD in Biological Sciences, Head of the Bio-Nanotechnology, Bacteriology and Virology Laboratory at Novosibirsk State University, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Netyosov claims that experts and scientists aren’t fully confident yet.

“To date, there are two main versions. First, it is a strain, and second, it is an outflow of the strain of some animals from a laboratory. Nevertheless, some scientists, specialists and non-couch virologists believe the coronavirus is of natural origin,” he said.

RIA Novosti believes conspiracy theorists have made up many different versions, but, according to Netyosov, it is necessary to analyze the course of the pandemic, the viral genome of the thousands of natural strains of animals and the strains detached from people.

“It’s still not clear whether it’s an artificial or natural virus,” he added.
