Some people found to have superhuman immunity against COVID-19

Some people, after suffering COVID-19, have a superhuman ability to fight the coronavirus, American virologists reported.

According to The Daily Mail, experts called this phenomenon superhuman or hybrid immunity: the immune system remembers the virus and even predicts how it can mutate.

Iron immunity to coronavirus was found in those who recovered from COVID-19, who were vaccinated with two components of Pfizer or Moderna drugs.

As noted by the virologist at Rockefeller University, these people have shown incredible protection against SARS-CoV-2.

Immunologist Shane Crotty explained that with natural immunity after suffering COVID-19, the immune system creates barriers against re-invasion of the virus. B cells and T cells remember what the virus looks like and can stimulate the production of antibodies if reinfected.

Natural immunity usually protects the body from coronavirus for 7-8 months. After a year, the person still has antibodies, but is more vulnerable to different strains. However, if someone with natural immunity is vaccinated, the vaccination strengthens the memory of the immune cells about the coronavirus, and in response to the vaccine, the body allocates even more resources for protection.

It can reasonably be assumed that these people will be reasonably well protected from most and possibly all variants of SARS-CoV-2 that we are likely to see in the foreseeable future.
