Armenia health minister: Family members of pregnant women need to receive COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible

The Delta strain of COVID-19 aggressively impacts pregnant women as well. To protect pregnant women, their family members must get vaccinated as soon as possible. This is what Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan told reporters today.

According to her, there are currently 122 pregnant women with COVID-19 who are hospitalized, 53 of them have pneumonia and are dependent on oxygen.

As Avanesyan stated, the family members of a pregnant woman who don’t have medical contraindications need to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
