A number of restrictions are envisaged in Armenia to reduce the spread of the new—Omicron—variant of the coronavirus, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan told reporters Monday.

According to her, a meeting of the interdepartmental committee is planned to be held today to discuss all the respective proposals, and the list of these restrictions will probably be ready by the end of the day.

In particular, it is planned to apply some restrictions to those coming to Armenia from these African countries: South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, and Tanzania.
