What to do at the first signs of infection with the Omicron strain of coronavirus? Svetlana Smetanina, chief infectious disease specialist at the Moscow Health Department (Russia), shared her advice on this.
According to TASS, the beginning of coronavirus infection is usually accompanied by symptoms such as intoxication, fever, headache and muscle pain. If you notice you have such symptoms, it is recommended to drink about 2 liters of liquid per day, measure your body temperature 3 times a day, and take antipyretic drugs if necessary. However, if the temperature is more than 38 degrees for more than 3 days, you should see a doctor.
To relieve sore throat, the specialist recommends using local anti-inflammatory agents, and to eliminate nasal congestion - vasoconstrictor drops and nasal lavage with seawater solutions.
