According to a study by Hong Kong experts published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, the Pfizer vaccine triples the risk of developing carditis, a dangerous inflammation of the heart.

According to the study, in the selected group of patients vaccinated with the American mRNA vaccine Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2), there were significantly more people with newly diagnosed myocarditis and pericarditis than among unvaccinated people.

Nevertheless, there was a clear association between vaccination with the above drug and an increased risk of disease, with younger men being more likely to become ill after receiving a second dose of the drug. According to the researchers, the absolute risk of getting carditis after being vaccinated with this drug is actually very low.
