19:48 4 March, 2022In spring, many mental illnesses can worsen due to the change of the season, psychotherapist Vladimir Snigur says.
The specialist told "Vechernyaya Moskva", that some people have cases of bipolar and depressive disorders in spring. Often these problems are accompanied by manic states, as well as obsessions. The specialist noted that people subjected to such influences have differences between their internal state and external manifestations.
"On the background of lushly blooming nature, sunshine and warmth of his inner world seems much gloomier. In addition, the trigger can be stressful situations, which are now plentiful. In general, a destabilization of personality disorders, depressive and bipolar, occurs in the spring. Schizophrenia and psychotic conditions worsen," said the doctor.
According to him, one has to pay close attention to mood swings, to watch for sleep disorders and appetite disorders. According to him, people who do not have serious diagnoses, in most cases it is enough to take light sedatives on a plant basis at the first signs of problems, but in any case it is worth seeking help from a specialist.
