Abrupt withdrawal from coffee can lead to problems such as headaches, lethargy and even a kind of "withdrawal". To reduce the risk of such problems, neurologist Lev Kamyshev recommends gradually reducing the number of cups of coffee, rather than giving it up immediately.

"Sleepiness also occurs, this is due to the fact that the body learns to maintain a working state without the influx of external neurostimulants," the specialist said.

According to "Govorit Moskva", the specialist also recommends trying not to drink coffee after two or three hours of the day.

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach is also not recommended.
